SEAN KINGSTON BIO:
Dedicating nearly his entire life to music and achieving superstardom when he was just 17 years old, Sean Kingston has amassed an untold amount of experience as a singer/songwriter over the past 11 years.

His 2007 self-titled debut featured the double-platinum breakout hit “Beautiful Girls”, as well as platinum hits “Take You There” and “Me Love”. His follow up sophomore album Tomorrow featured the smash singles “Fire Burning” and “Face Drop”. His third studio album Back 2 Life (featuring the hit single “Beat It” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Chris Brown) fused reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and electro to create melody-soaked pop. The singer/songwriter blended his newly strengthened vocals with fiercely inventive effects and hard-hitting live instrumentation—a formula that’s yielded his most passionately inspired work to date.

In May 2011—Kingston suffered a devastating accident while jet skiing in Miami Beach. After spending nearly a month in the hospital and undergoing two emergency open-heart surgeries to repair a torn aorta, Kingston took two months to heal—and start plotting his return to the studio. “I couldn’t go anywhere while I was recovering, so I spent all my time writing songs and listening to beats,” he recalls. “All I wanted was to get back to doing music, which is what I’ve been devoting my life to since I was eight-years-old.”

Currently, Kingston is putting the finishing touches on his upcoming mixtape Made In Jamaica which will be released on his Time Is Money Entertainment label. Every song on the mixtape was either written or recorded in Jamaica, and all the song concepts, melody structures, “riddims” and vibes are all about embracing the true culture of his home. The mixtape includes productions by Murda Beatz, Retro, Xclass, Will I Dap and Jamaica’s Stephen McGregor and Dunwell Productions. Guest artists include controversial Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, who is featured on Made in Jamaica’s first single "Chance," produced by Murda Beatz and Frank Dukes. Kingston continues to work on his fourth studio album and is continuing to write for various artists.
